Power drying?

I've heard a lot of hairdressers use the term 'power drying' and the hair looks great afterwards, but I don't know what it means!

Does anyone know what it is, how to do it and if I can do it at home? I'm so bad with styling my hair but I want to do things with it now so it's not just sat there looking all boring.
