I have had a big stye on my eye before and I had to go to the doctor to get it looked at. I had the choice to get it taken out ( I was terrified) or take care of it (hot compresses) I didn't want to get the operation at all so I took care orbit and it went away. But a couple days ago, I developed another one. I put a hot compress on It the other night but it hurts really bad. Once you get one are to prone to them?

I don't know if youre more prone to get them, but I do know that my mom gets them due to stress.

You can get styes from using other people's makeup brushes. It's bacteria building up on the brush from different people that causes a stye. If you have a Clinique toner or a good toner put some on a cotton ball and hold it there for a minute. Plus use the hot compress! But you aren't more prone to them in the same spot. I got one on my eye and it went away. Hope this helped!

Put gold on it, obvs old wives tale but it worked on my brother. I don't think it's something you can become prone too, it just happens.

I had a lot of them so my dad did research and found out that its from bacteria usually on the pores of your nose getting into the eyes ( I rubbed my nose a lot because its oily and then I would wipe my eyes after while the bacteria was still on ) I managed them by using compresses while I sleep and not rubbing my eyes and washing my hands every once in a few hours xxx hope this helps xxx
