Personally I always got them silver so they'd blend in with the brackets because I found when I got colors they'd fade quick and make my teeth look dirty.

I have braces.. & I stick with silver. I think it's tacky having all colors in my mouth if they don't match my outfit (I'm kind of OCD) lol. But if you do go with a color I'd go for a light color.. They have a lot of pastels.

FYI you can get clear brackets on your top front teeth! That's what I did. If you want to go with something less noticeable. They say they break easier but none of mine didn't always follow the eating rules ;P

I used to get my band colors related to what holiday was coming up. I would stay away from the clear or white bands because they stain easily, red bands made it look like my gums we're bleeding and black looks weird on a white tooth. I just got my braces off, I sorta miss them lol.

Colors sometimes don't show up unless their bright I wouldn't recommend them because they cause even more food to get stuck in your braces at least for me it was.
