Embarrassing makeup moment at work.

So today one of my colleagues hugged me but he practically rubbed my face against his shirt. So my makeup was all over his shirt and everyone started laughing saying I wear too much makeup. I felt kind of embarrassed because I hate how I look with no makeup because of my acne scars. And all the girls at my work have perfect skin and wear no makeup at all. what do you guys think? Should I wear less makeup for work since I end up sweaty anyway or what?

I think it's about whatever makes you feel happiest and most confident. if you love to wear makeup and feel better with it that's awesome. don't let what other people's opinion is of too much get to you. I feel the same way about my acne scars but I'd rather try to make them look as good as possible.

I guess it your choice but I wouldnt be embarrassed about it that happens to me also. My makeup will rub off on my phone and I have good skin I just don't like my freckles. I find it kinda rude they laughed its not that funny.

I have good skin and still wear makeup because I love how it looks and like Lynzie said mine rubs on my phone all the time but I don't care because at the end of the day makeup makes me happy and feel confident :)

Try to find a good foundation that gives you full coverage so it will cover up your scars and look more naturak and you won't nees to wear as much makeuo.

I get it on my boyfriend's shirts all the time! I understand your pain haha he asked about it once and I almost started tearing up from embarrassment cuz I didn't know what to say, but I feel best with my acne and scars covered so he knows just to wash it off since I was so upset I didn't cuddle or hug for a few days cuz I felt so awkward and weird about it. don't change what you like!

Happens to me ALL of the time. I don't know how many times my best friend has had to change his shirt because my makeup some how found its way on it. Don't worry about it. If makeup makes you more confident and comfortable, then wear as much as you want and screw the haters. We can't all have perfect skin. I won't go outside if I don't have makeup on. You're a beautiful girl.

And I always make a joke about it like "do you know how much makeup costs? You owe me $12.99 for the makeup that rubbed off on your shirt" usually gets a little laugh and a "no way! You owe me a new shirt!"

My makeup rubs off on my mans shirt all the time, he hets so pissed lol. I think watever yu feel comfy in works fine! screw what anybody else thinks.. however, since yu said yu end up sweating it off anyway, mayb use some concealer over yur acne scars only? look at it this way, a greasy, sweaty face covered in makeup isn't very healthy for yur skin right? bit like I said before, its yur skin, yur face. wear whatever yu want!;)

Thank you guys so much :) you made my day. the makeup I use actually stays fine the whole day unless someone rubs it off. But I think I do need to get a setting spray. Again, thank you all for your nice comments I'm glad you all understand. Love you guys.

Make sure you are setting your foundation properly. All makeup will rub off abit, but it shouldn't come off just by touching your face. I use extra setting powder when I have a busy day (like school or work) and especially if it's hotter out. I wear less foundation when it's summer, particularly because you sweat more and the makeup feels gross. Totally not your fault though if a colleague rapes your face haha! If he did that to your armpit your deoderant would rub off, but would people say you are wearing to much deoderant? Not your fault you basically got makeup molested, what do people expect when you rub a woman's face as beautiful and perfected as yours? If you are happy woth your makeup, that's all that matters.

Also I hear setting sprays do wonders for looks all day that don't budge- literally. If your foundation comes off as easily as some of the girls mentioned above- jusy by lightly touching the face, then it's time to look for a new foundation.

@Brittainie B. I use the clinique acne solution makeup. And on top of that I put the powder that comes along with it. It actually has helped me a lot with my acne. I almost don't have anything anymore just the scars. So what do you recommend? Because it doesn't come off easily just if someone rapes my face lol but I still feel like I have to use a lot to cover up. :/ and I do feel like sometimes specially in the sunlight it shows that I'm using too much...

Try a primer under your makeup, that will help it look less heavy and it will help your makeup from rubbing off.

You should wear as much makeup as you like and feel comfortable in :) I don't wear very much foundation & powder but it still have a tendency to come off on people then they hug me! You are absolutely beautiful so be happy and don't feel the need to change because of what others have said :) xxx

This happened to me at school, we were literally doing a test to see whether we were wearing too much makeup, no one was wearing too much except me and one of my friends, a large clump of powder piled onto the ruler x embarrassing!! but I didnt stop wearing that amount because it made me feel more comfortable x

That sucks but everyone has moments like that when I first moved in with my fiancé I would get mascara and lipstick all over his shirt and his white silk sheets I was sooo embarrassed
