1. don't pick or squeeze! at all!
2. wash your face with warm water and a gentle cleanser, whatever your skin is used to. leave the warm washcloth over your face for a few seconds to "steam" out dirt before you wash off the facewash/soap
3. rinse the washcloth with COLD water and pat that on your face to calm the redness a bit
if you have any type of "regenerating" cream to put on the area with your moisturizer it works wonders to help pimple areas heal quickly. weirdly enough I've found wrinkle cream to work well on healing irritated skin (unless your skin is sensitive to what you're using on it).
then a green concealer cancels out the redness, but be careful not to go overboard with it and blend it well (without rubbing too hard!)
and lastly try to make sure all of the things touching your face are clean and free of bacteria as much as possible.

Use Green Concealer. Red is the opposite of Green, so it will cover it up very well (depending on the brand you get)

Yes to Tomatoes. It's a natural skin care line that uses certain fruits and vegtables to treat certain skin problems. Tomatoes for acne and redness. Cucumbers for soothing sensitive skin. Blueberries for antiaging and skin brightening, and carrots for something else. Pink grape fruit for skin imperfections, skin renewel, helps with scars, etc.
I use quite a few of the yes to Tomatoes products and they really work to reduce acne and redness. I use the cucumber make up wipes to take off my make up though.

Toothpaste works for me! I just leave it overnight and by the morning it's smaller and not so red
