I have oily skin and I use coconut oil as my facial moisturizer. In the beginning it broke me out in little white heads. I stopped using it for about a week. Then I tried it again and I LOVE it now. It no longer breaks me out. I have oily skin as well. I find that using coconut oil, has made my skin less oily. When you first put the oil on, you feel oily. But once it soaks in, your skin feels hydrated and it doesn't look oily at all. Since using this, I think my skin is more on the normal side than oily. I say try it and see if it works for you. :)

I've used a home-made coconut oil mix cleanse for several months now and I looove it! I had very oily skin before and it seems strange but it makes your face less oily. your face makes excess oil to compensate for what soap takes away, so if you use oil to wash instead of soap it kind of balances out. once your face gets used to having what it needs it calms down with the grease haha. like Llesenia said it soaks in but takes a week or two for your face to realize it doesn't need to produce so much oil. I've been debating making a youtube video on this to explain it better and share my recipe but haven't gotten around to it. but I'm sure there are plenty already out there :)

Make it!! :) I'd love to know, but how do you wash your face with oil? Does it clean it? What If you wear makeup?

It feels weird at first you just smear it on your face and massage for a minute or two and steam it in with a washcloth. I also use it when I get out of work; I put coconut or first cold pressed olive oil (same ph as your skin) on a cotton pad and wipe off my face. it doubles as a moisurizer and I wear liquid or cream foundation over it because powder makes it too dry. if I make a vid ill post it on here haha.
