I have the lips of an 80 year old smoker. And I don't smoke. Anyone have tricks for wrinkled lips and lip lines? Mine are usually dry but must they look like raisins, too?

It's not pathetic<3 Your lips probably aren't getting enough moisture in them. Try using lip balms or chapsticks that have a lot of "hydration" or "moisture" in them. I'd say kind of stay away from regular lip glosses or anything that you find yourself CONSTANTLY reapplying. (: hope I helped.

I would try a good lip scrub then moisturize after. Works for me.

I agree with the girls above, but also make sure you're getting lots of water! Starts from the inside.

I have the same problem. Doc suggested blistex balm...using it..find a little difference. But you don't have smooth lip texture. It has too many lines. they aren't dry too.
@em.l - can you suggest any diy lip scrub.
sometimes I think its just the dead skin.I am so clueless!!:/

Hi I'm a cosmetologist! water is good to hydrate your internal organs but skin needs oils. try doing a heated coconut oil treatment. apply the oil generously to your lips and then get a hot wash cloth and lay it over your lips for 20 mins. if its burning your skin and too hot it will dry out your face so don't go overboard with the heat. add more omega 3s like fish and oils to your diet too, like avocados. avocados would also be a good replacement for the coconut oil too, and tasty!
using a daily moisturizer at least around your mouth would help improve the longevity of these treatments too.

And there is nothing 'pathetic' about it! everyone has something about themselves that they don't like or is considered 'unattractive' or whatever.
