I have oily, acne prone, sensitive, pigmented, Indian skin and for the past three weeks its all just stopped. I wanted to share it with everyone incase it helps.
So basically my face had acne and the scars for two years, I tried absolutely anything that claimed to get rid of acne. I went to a skin doctor, used expensive products but nothing helped.
Three weeks back I fell seriously ill and was in bed completely for 1 week and I noticed that week I did not get any acne and the exsisting once were gone too. I realized few basic things made a world of differnce.
1) I was allergic to my kabuki brush. I used that brush everyday for 2 years not knowing that was the major culprit.
2) I started changing my pilllow covers every week and I got the allergy tested once with silk covers.
3) Stopped using too many products, I used moisturiser and dabbed a lil loose power on my oily areas with my fingers only when I went out.
4) Washed my face more often with cetafil cleanser. I did not follow it with any moisturizer, nothing.
5) Steamed my face every two days.
Today I complete 4 weeks without pimples. These are something we forget to do and in my case it was all I had to do. :)

Joyce, that feeling when you wash your face and don't feel any bumps, is magical :p.

I too had pimples and acne and can completely relate to you. Cetaphil is like a boon for me too. The cleanser and the face moisturiser. Since my derm recommended me, I have been using it since. My pimples have gone and no breakouts since then. I only have post pimple marks which are fading.
Happy for you gal :))

I have recently started steaming my face. I just put few lemon drops in the water and steam. It does help a lot.

Its such an awesome feeling. I was happy just like you when I discovered my triggers to acne. Congrats on transforming your skin (and knocking on wood that it doesn't come back on you).
