So, someone told me today that my foundation always looks caked on and rubs off on everything. This really surprised me because I've received several compliments on how great my skin looks with my foundation!
My question is: How do I know if my foundation is caked? And how do I fix it?

Well it was my ex. He said my foundation always rubbed off on his shirt and it was noticeable that I caked it on. He's the only one who ever said anything bad about it. So should I just ignore it? Or change something in my routine?

Some people don't really know what cakey makeup is.. They just say that if you wear a full face of makeup.. So it depends who says it.. But I honestly think they don't have a clue on what their talking about... if your happy who cares :)

I'm pretty sure I'd know caked foundation if I saw it, especially on my own face! But I wasn't sure. I think I will just wear one or the other. Not the liquid and powder layered like Gen B. said.

Some people mistake a "matte" look for a "cakey" look. If its coming from a guy, he probably has no idea what he's talking about. Post a pic!

@Hope P, yeah I kinda think he doesn't exactly know the meaning of cakey foundation. He might be mistaken. I will post a pic tomorrow when I do my whole routine. Its kinda the middle of the night right now.. But we'll see what you all think!

I heard naked skin gives a really natural looking skin-like finish, plus the spray usually fixes the powdery look! It might be that you aren't exfoliating/moisturizing/priming your skin, but chances are he's just an asshole. If you think it looks fine, forget him!
