I am trying to figure out if I should use a BB cream or a foundation. I don't have any acne and if I have a pimple I would use concealer. but I do have some skin discoloration. opinions? and what brands are good?

I would personally choose BB cream just because it is a moisturizer and is light but still can still even out your skin tone. I also recommend the smashbox photo ready BB cream or the Olay fresh effects BB cream.

I love ny BBC cream and then I use a little bit of powder to seal it:) but it's great in the summertime

BB cream, just to even out your skin tone! I use Etude House's Precious Mineral Bright Fit BB cream, SPF 30++, dewy, medium coverage.

BB Cream... I use Skin79 Classic Intense Balm and it has great coverage and oil control. I have acne prone, hyperpigmentation, and oily skin! It's amazing, just make sure you buy it from someone reputable, there are tons of fakes out there!

BB cream for the summer so that you aren't wearing a cake on your face on hot days, and foundation in the winter and on special occasions. I recommend loreal magic BB cream, it has very good coverage and blends extremely well.
