I started out wearing nothing but lipsticks, because i didn't think lipgloss was popping enough. I like to know that the lipstick is there. I haven't found a lipgloss yet that can give me that effect. What about you?

I grew up on lipsmackers, eventually moved on to lipglosses, only within the last 2 years have i started using lipsticks. But I do love them, I tend to opt for just lipsticking with no lipgloss on top but I vary it from time to time depending on whether i'm dressing up or not. But on a day to day basis it's usually just lipstick for me.

I was all about lip glosses at first but now I prefer lipsticks. Most of the time, I wear both though because lipstick alone doesn't cooperate with my dry lips.

Definitely lipsticks, I was never really a big fan of lip glosses. But, I've come across a few that I like.

I'm 50/50. A lot of times I'm applying lipgloss over my lipstick to really make my lip pop and to extend the wear of the color. As far as brands go, I'm pretty big on Bobbi Brown, MAC, Revlon, CoverGirl, Too Faced for lipsticks and Lorac, Bobbi Brown, MAC, Stila, Laura Mercier for lipgloss.

Thank you ladies I see most of you prefer lipsticks. I will have to try the lipgloss over my lipstcicks though. I think i will like that option. I just can't see myself wearing my lipgloss alone :)

i like lip gloss but i feel lipsticks are longer lasting and maybe look a little more grown up. They're also much easier to blend and make custom colors.

"My lipgloss is popping..."
I'm a gloss girl. I'm also a big fan of tinted lip balms! I don't usually like lipsticks because sometimes I feel like a grandma with them on... I don't know why. Maybe it's the way some of them smell? I like gloss, stains, and balms MUCH better!

I generally either wear just lipstick or lipstick with a gloss over it. Only on a rare occasion will I wear just the lipgloss and it's usually because it's really pigmented anyway or I just want something subtle. MAC's lipglasses are nice and a lot of them are pretty pigmented too.

Lipgloss Junkie my trick is using a nude lip line liner all over then applying the lipgloss so the color is opaque..

Why not both????? I absolutely adore wearing MAC Lipsticks, with a hint of lipglass for coverage. If im going more natural,I tend to do lip glosses/glasses that are on the nude ish side. But when I'm going out I usually grab an awesome shade of lipstick, and depending on the evening i might toss some gloss on top! But the answer to that question really depend on what you feel more comfortable in. (Lipsticks tend to make you feel more confident no?)
