Let it be do not irritate it even more...I I suggest is using some cleansing wipes to remove any makeup or residue that builds during day find ones that are for sensitive skin then moisturizer w a light weight moisturizer...you can do an astringent before your moisturizer might sting a little but it helps dry out acne...

I broke out horribly a week or so ago, and I started using the Noxzema Triple Blemish Pads and now my skin is nearly all cleared up. The product is in a blue circular tub with orange writing. It's not expensive, and should be available practically anywhere. I use it twice a day, so each times I cleanse my face, afterwords I used one. They can be drying, so try to use an oil free moisturizer as well. Hope I helped!

I usually use sulfur products and that really works for me. It kind of dries my skin but really clears my skin up quickly. If you are interested to know what sulfur products I use just let me know and I will gladly post pics for you.
