I am going to the beach soon and I am having difficulty deciding which type of artificial nail to get. I have heard that acrylics do not bode well with sand and/or water, but then I have heard the same for gel nails. I would just be getting a french tip on either. If any of y'all have experiences you'd like to share, I would be forever grateful! Thanks in advance!

Get fakies from the drug store, that way you ll be able to take them off easily after the beach... that s how I do it.

Definitely gel! Acrylics would get sand in them. And plus are a pain to take off.

Personally gel didn't work for me! the paint chipped and one of them broke. acrylics are my favorite and I don't have any sand underneath (I live a mile from the beach)
