Foundation for flakey oily skin?

I have extremely pale, dry, flakey skin that is making it a pain to find foundation. I have always had flakey skin, which later on in the day becomes oily but still quite flakey. I've tried exfoliating, primers, moisturizers, bb's, cc's, exc. I've tried combination skin products as well. If I find a product that's seems to work, in a matter of a few hours I'm disappointed. If it goes well with my flakey skin, it sets off my oily side and leaves me sheeny. If it's for oil control, my skin looks ridiculously flakey. I also am quite pale and love the full coverage matte finishes. And I also know my powder is not the problem. Hellllpppp!

Sounds like oily skin might not be your problem, but that your skin is SO dry that your skin is trying to catch up by over producing sebum. stay hydrated by drinking lots of water, exfoliate regularly but not too much, that will irritate your skin even further. and use very good moisturizers.
