If you use pure acetone it will soften the acrylic, I suggest non-acetone!

Cut up a couple of tin foil big enough to wrap around your finger. cut up a couple of cotton pads in half. wet a cut cotton pad and place it on your nail. wrap the tin foil around it all the way to you finger. make sure it is tight and secure. repeat for all fingers and leave on for about 5-10 mins :) x

I did so many coats (9! no lie) of glitter on my toes for new years that I had to use my husbands dremmel w/sander attachment to take it off...ruined my toenails baaaad ha. I heard a tip about using Elmer's glue under glitter to get it to remove easier once you feel like taking it off, just my horror story & FYI for the future haha.

Essence has a new peel off base coat that works great too, you don't need remover at all!
