Please post some pics of extravagant (but not too over the top) makeup ideas for a dance recital. I have one coming up and not sure how to do my makeup for it. I usually do the regular makeup look but my solo is for the song girl on fire and I wanted to stand out. thank you. :)

I've had to do dance recital for years so it'd be okay to do dramatic makeup on stage because it looks different from far away!

You could do a leopard print on your eyes, one of my mates asked me to come up with make up for her dance thing and thats what I ended up with (she loves leopard print lol) and that was 6 years ago now n she still does it all the time lol
I havnt got a photo but I'll try to explain in steps;
you can either do it with bronze and golds or yellows and oranges, but you need 3 shades of eyeshadow that get darker in shade, black liquid eyeliner, bronze and/or gold liquid or pencil eyeliner
blend gold into bronze from on your lid (from tearduct), then blend into the middle colour on top (pretty much a Smokey eye in leopard colours but make sure it's not to dark, especially the top bit) then with the dark bronze eyeliner do little spots above your lid, doesn't matter if they're not perfect, add extra little bits of gold around the edges to highlight the bronze, then with your black eyeliner lightly outline them by gently dotting it around them. it's the same way you do it on your nails pretty much =] it takes a fairly steady hand but once you start filling in the black it makes it seem less messy, so it really doesn't need to be perfect =]
