Ok Ladies, I'm 37 and just now for the first time trying to figure out how to contour my cheeks with blush and bronzer... I know, I know, why the heck bother starting now? LOL- I really need your input on what I am getting right, wrong, absolutely ridiculously wrong, and so forth.
Please impute ladies :) thanks in advance!

Your doing really well, if you want to take it even further you can take it along your jaw line and up onto the upper forehead. You don't need anything more cuz you look fantastic. I'm just saying you can soften the jaw line and chin and round your face out a bit. Please don't take that as you need to do anything more. Its fun to try new techniques and see all the different looks you can get. You are gorge!!

I tried that last night and it was a complete fail- lol. I need more practice. At the moment I am on the pale side because I am useing retin a at night and not sure how to incorporate sunless tanning into my night time routine so until I figure THAT out, I'll need more practice. Because when I tried taking it to the jawline and across me forehead - I looked two toned. I didn't even use much! Practice, practice... lol.

You are so beautiful naturally, and your eyes are so striking...I mean this in a completely positive way... I think you could lighten up the smoky eye, just a touch, because I think it definitely makes you look younger. A little champagne high lite, just northeast of the apple, is a wonderful extra little highlight to soften some of the contour. I can also show you, in a photo of a drawing of the technique, if you like. It's a super secret trick I learned from a master Shu Uemera pro from Japan, ( if you've never heard of Shu, they are an awesome makeup brand from Japan that I loooove! Too bad it's so pricey!!) But the technique is very unique, and definitely gives the appearance of a true flush of color, rather than a swipe of blush...not that your blush looks that way!! But, still, it can be fun to try stuff out. Your hair color is awesome,(I'm a redhead), and I don't know what you've been doing, but your skin looks amazing!! I want to look that good, so please, do tell what your skin regimen is...truly flawless. Retin a you say??

Sorry, I got ahead of myself...the *technique* is a blush application technique!

Pie P- please, please share with me your secret technique!! Sounds intriguing! Thank you so much for the skin compliment, I use retin a nightly. I also have had a Photofacial witch sloffs off any sun spots or damage like that (highly recommended). Please remember to send me the technique you referred to, can't wait!

Ok Beautylish! Here's your tip, so sorry to keep you waiting, ( Adrienne A. Thanks for the follow and dose of support...seriously) ok. Here we go...take a nice stippling, like macs old 188 ( the #s have worn off so excuse me if I'm wrong!) or a nice angled shading brush. I like sigmas 140 large angled contour, but any angled brush will do!!) get some blush on your brush and swipe IN from the top of your apples...gently caressing in three swipes of the brush along the true "apple", or roundest part, of the cheek bone. Seems simple, but the world of difference it makes!! Omg, so amazing. Maybe everyone does this, but it was news to me!! Here's a photo if my descriptive text doesn't do it for you:

So there you go. Put some highlight, (my fav? Can't live without: the Balms "Mary Lou Manizer" it does it all!) just at the top of the cheekbone and the widest part of the face. Hope it helps ya'll and doesn't disappoint!
