I hate acne, as I suspect all of you do too. I was reading up and some people said that they oil cleansing method changed their life. Everyone of them said that they no longer needed products with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. They just buy some oil for their skin and it cleared them up! Have you guys tried? I'm really really interested.

I used sweet almond oil as a moisturizer and my acne cleared up completely :) plus, almond oil is a natural lightener so it helps with scars too.

Oil makes you break out more. Especially when those days of the month or in Hot summer days. The clearest spot I have is in my forehead and that's where I have more grease. My cheeks are very dry and that's where I have my acne. I'm using benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. Haven't seen results yet. It's a slow treatment can take up to 3 months to start seeing results wouldn't recomend it. But going to see my dermatologist in may 20 I can wait so I can control my scars and acne had pimple since I first started my period (12) then every month got worse when I got to a point and just cried cause I was sick and tired of being bullied by having acne so I went to my dermatologist and I haven't seen results

If it breaks you out, that means it's working- it's just purging your skin of all toxins, kind of like a deep cleaning. That said, I've done the OCM and it works great :)

I'm currently using ocm. It's been good so far, but I've heard that putting oil on you face makes your pores bigger?

I tried OCM for about 3 or 4 months, using 1 part castor oil to 2 parts avocado oil. However, I don't get acne, my reasons for trying OCM was to help with very dry skin (which is why I chose to use avocado oil, and a smaller amount of castor oil). It did help a lot, but not enough for me to continue with the hassle of measuring out the amounts of oil, constantly cleaning my measuring spoons, etc. But if you have acne, I'd say it's definitely worth a try.
This is the article where I got a lot of my info on it, for anyone who wants to try OCM and learn more about it. --> http://www.mommypotamus.com/oil-cleansing-for-clear-baby-soft-skin-video-tutorial/
Also, what the writer says at the beginning of her article is very true... the best way to clear up your skin is to cut out processed foods.

Coconut oil<33333. Sooo good for you in many ways. And it doesn't make your pores big. It also shouldnt break you out if any a little. Don't drenchhhh your face in it, just apply a good layer. Massage in.

I havnt done it with natural oils but I've used an oil based eye-make remover for years and I never get spots anywhere above my lips lol, always just about my chin.
it's a good make-up remover though, it's from boots (think you can only get it in England) it's their own brand called botanics, it's all nice gentle natural stuff n it works great. Also it looks really cool in the bottle cause it's like half oil half something else so it separates in the bottle haha
