I have heard of this trick that tells you to mix honey and lemon juice of the same quantity and put it in your hair. Let it dry for an hour in the sun and then rinse it off. I just wanted to know if anyone has tried it out and does it work. I've got very dark black hair, so will it work for me too? What will it look like?

The lemon juice won't work if you have black hair :( unfortunately its most effective for brunettes and blondes.

Sorry ;( it won't work for your dark black hair. Even if it did, it'd turn brown or at VERY lightest, a gross orange ish. On dark brown hair, it won't even work. I've tried it :) sorry!

I have naturally dark brown hair and before I dyed it I used lemon juice all the Time and it worked for me it gave me light brown redish high lights I loved it. But I put a lot by my scalp and used a comb that had wide separated teeth and sat in the sun with wet hair! Until the places where I put lemon sorda scrunched up. I'd recommend it :P
