Leave it curly and pull it all to one side, you could even add a flower or something. If you don't want to leave it down, do a low, loose bun!

First of all get those burnt ends trimmed! You can still have curly hair, just have someone else do it for you next time. Check out LuxyHair on youtube :)

I have naturally curly hair too and I live in Texas lol so I feel you on the frizz! I like the sexy curly hair products. I use a little it's a ten leave in too. But the sexy curly hair gel and mousse are my faves.

As a stylist I've seen this a lot. best thing you can do is recondition your hair. With naturally curly hair you are more prone to dryness and breakage and anytime you are using heating tools it is especially important to use a thermal protectant. What you can do to prep from prom over the next few days is first have the burnt ends of your hair trimed. That is the only fix for that issue. Once the damage is done that part of your hair becomes dead and cannot be fixed. Hopefully you can have a dusting so that it does not compromise the length for you. Next deep condition your hair every night as you sleep. if you csnnot aford a good deep conditioning masque try this:
1 part conditioner
1 part argan oil
1 part organic honey
wash your hair first and towel dry your hair. Then apply the masque and comb through. I would reconmend using a shower cap and putting a towel over your pillow. When you get up in the morning all you have to do is rinse your hair and let it air dry. (don't use any more heat on your hair till prom) the argan oil will provide strength and repair to your hair and the honey is high in moisture and nutrients. some of the most expensive and luxurious hair care products use honey as the main ingredient. Hope this helps and good luck!

Anything else to take the smell of burned off my hair?

Not a lot that you can do for the smell...the trim should help with most of that. also the deep conditioning will help the one I told you about actually smells really good. you can maybe try dryer sheets for the smell. I've had clients use them before but I havent tried it myself
