I was natural for about 2 years but I got bored and relaxed my hair and got it cut short. my tips are invest in jojoba oil, shea butter, and coconut oil. do not rush the big chop donit when you are ready. some women don't even get the big chop they just gradually cut the relax hair off and transition that way.

As far as transitioning braids, twist out outs, straw curls, flexi sets, yarn braid kinky twist, sew ins are all your friends. I hope this helps :)

It's a big personal choice. I'm about 4 or 5 months into it. I'm transitioning right now with kinky twists and it helps so much. But honestly a lot of help comes from the curly Nikki forum. It's SUPER helpful.

It's been almost two years,I love being natural but I personally think it's a lot of hard work, having a4 month it's hard to keep up with the protective hair styles.
