My skin becomes very oily once I apply my makeup. Any reasons why this could happen?

Frances, I thank you for asking this question. I too have this issue. UGHH. I use my beauty blender and my brushes. I'm on top of making sure they are clean. Please help us both out on this.

Actually, it could be any number of things.. but I'd venture to say that your moisturizer, primer or foundation are your main culprits.

Desire, I want to try that dr-slick!! But have you tried the setting spray yet? I'm deciding on which one to purchase because I've never tried a product like that..

If it only happens when you put on foundation, then it is probably your foundation not agreeing with your skin. I have oily skin anyway, but some foundations exacerbate that. Strange as it is, matte foundations are terrible for me. They make me extremely oily. So I started only trying oil free foundations but that was not the key either. I don't know what it is exactly that makes me oily but I have a few different foundations that I can use that are pale enough and don't make my oiliness worse than it needs to be. The only thing I have noticed is the more coverage a foundation has the worse my skin reacts with it.

I ordered both and I love them both...I use the spray for my bare minerals and the tube for liquid foundations...I change it depending on occasion lol. but the tube dries very quickly once applied on face! and I mean it is DE-SLICK! I actually was late to work, then had to run out to my car, then run back in...and usually if I'm rushing or running I honestly sweat easily and my face gets ugly and oily.. well my face stayed matte all day... appearing like I had just applied makeup. it didnt really dry up my face too. the spray really kept my make up on well too but in my opinion not too great on the oily part...but maybe I didn't spray enough? :/ I would just go with the tube to b safe...also it goes on clear and doesn't leave a white ghostly look on your face like a lot of mattifying products do! sorry I wrote a lot lol.

I have the same problem, and it's actually helped to stop using powder and foundation. I use a BB cream and as soon as I feel my skin starting to get oily, I use the blue oil blotting sheets. I use the cheap generic brand, they're like 2 packs for $5. These are amazing and have helped my skin greatly. I'm no longer clogging my pores with powder and foundation and on top of that I'm removing excess oil! My complexion is the best it's ever been.
