So I have extremely flat hair, when I curl it with my wond I can make it look bigger with hairspray and such, but for some reason I cannot do the same when it's straight & I would love to be able to straighten my hair but still have volume. Any ideas on how I could manage this?

I have the same problem! I have super flat straight hair. What I do to give it a little more volume when it's straight, I spray some dry shampoo all over and it actually gives it a little bit of volume. So I think you should try that :)

I honestly use clip on extensions to create volume. It's not guaranteed that shampoo and products will thicken your hair unless you try the Bumble and Bumble Thickening line. that stuff is made to swell up the hair's cuticle over time making it feel and appear thicker. it takes a while to work.. but I use extensions and cheat :p got them on hairbysar.com
