Buns and braids. Moisturize the ends with oil. My fave is coconut. Don't use heat. Use good shampoos and don't wash hair daily. Do hair masks.

Don't let your ends dry out. Don't over wash and don't over use products with protein (including coconut oil) tho that oil is amazing if used once a week or less.

Wash your hair with cool water, I use a comb to brush out my hair but it might not work with your hair if it's really thick :( , and then I use argan oil and an ionic blow dryer :)

Don't straighten your hair or Blow dry it as much without putting some type of oil at the ends of your hair.

No heat, air dry your hair. Also, when your hair is wet, don't use a brush or comb. Use a wide tooth comb when it's damp.
Don't rub your hair with a towel when wet.
I know many people like to wrap their hair in a towel after a shower but that's bad because your hair is suffocating in there.
Use an oil after shower (Argan, Moroccan, tea tree)
Don't forget to trim your hair once in a while!
You'll see results slowly.

There is no way to heal, repair or mend split ends, the only way you can get rid of them is by trimming, and you have to do it quick before the split goes all the way to the root. Products that claim to mend split ends are lying, what they do is disguise the problem with a special conditioner that makes the split ends 'stick' together without actually healing them. Once you get a trim, use hydrating and repairing products to prevent split ends, pro naturals argan oil is great at this and makes your hair stronger, I use it all the time.
