I would probably try a new foundation. I've never used Mac but I heard it's horrible for your skin. It actually bleached my friends skin!!

It probably has spf causing the white mask you could maybe prevent the caking by applying very small amounts and lettig it dry in between.

I had studio fix and I really tried to love it. I just felt like I was wearing a thick mask over my face! Ughh if you wanna keep using it I'd suggest a setting spray or If you wanna try another Mac foundation I'd suggest match master

How are you applying it Ashley?

Try using it with a damp beauty blender (rolling and bouncing) the foundation on that may help but if you still don't know how to use a beauty blender go to their website they have a video them setting it with powder and fix +

Studio fix is a matte finish, that's probably why it looks dry. try the match master foundation instead, its a medium-full coverage and its beautiful when you set it with msf natural powder! also, my personal fav is the studio sculpt foundation, its very silky and has a dewy finish. its meant for more normal to dry, but if you prep your skin it can definitely work!

Ashley I found myself having the same issues, but the issues weren't come to find out a foundation problem. It was a skin problem. Can I tell you my routine? And hopefully it might help.
I make sure my face is clean and really moisturized, which was very hard for me because I thought it made me more greasy and unable to keep makeup on.
Then I apply a matte primer.
Then eye primer and I set them. You should try a setting spray or I use a dampe sponge and just press my whole face lightly.
Foundation is next. I use a stippling brush to stipple it on the small soft circular motions in both directions to blend it in. Then I take a damp beauty blender to press and gently roll my face to remove any product sitting on the surface. I then set with a setting powder in the same way of foundation. Gentle press and the light strokes in a downward motion. At this point do my eyes, eyebrows, contour, blush and finish with setting spray. So far it has been the best routine I have found for the problem we share. I hope somehow I have helped a little. So try the mac again in a little different way cause I believe its a pretty good product, and would hate for you to feel like it was a waist of money.

I've never had a bleaching problem and still think it is not that harmful to your skin unless of course there is an allergic intolerance to it. And also watch how much primer you are applying, it takes very very little, like pea size or less to cover your whole face and work that in real well.

I have been mixing mine with l'oreal true match lumi. I was feeling the same way about the studio fix and I felt the lumi was too wet and shiny. Together they really have worked well.
