It was semi wet. You don't want it too wet or it won't dry completely.

I wrap my hair in a bun with moose on and it being a bit damp and I tell you my hair doesn't look anything like that :( I've tried everything but my hair won't work! So I have to straighten it in the morning which is a pain! I want curls!!

@sarah same here I use mousse a curl activating gel I put it in a bun or even in curlers and when dry I use hair spray but I could NEVER get my hair to look like that! I'm so envious of voluminous hair like yours Elaine! mine is so thin and heavy that all it really wants to do is be straight... :T.

Aww that looks fab! @Tiffany T. The no heat headband method is brilliant I love it! My hairs soo fine and never holds curling iron curls but this way looks soo natural and stats in forever

Trust me ladies my hair is straight and it worked really well! The mousse I used was herbal essence for curling.

Hi Tiffany, yes tried the headband method too! My hair isn't thick so I just don't get why it won't curl!!
Diana I feel your pain ;) it's more frustrating then anything now I like the waves without heat but normally I try a hairstyle once and move on but this one is busting my brain cells and because it won't work for me I have to keep at it!!
Any other advice ladies please help us get rid of the heat and make some lovely waves!!

Yah sarah I have the same issue with thin hair it just doesn't stay wavy nicely like in Elaine's photo I can get close and soft waves but if I really want waves I almost have to curl it in foam rollers over night to get any kind of shape in my hair but it has to be dry if I do it wet then it dries frizzy so that's what I do and volumizing mousse helps a little but still almost impossible to get it to look like Elaine's
