My eyebrows are okay enough and I don't need to do the lengthy stuff from the tutorials, but I do need to fill in the few spaces where they've gone a bit bald because of constant plucking. Please suggest some good eye pencil or filler or something.

I always find that an eyeshadow it a color that matches your eyebrow color and applied with an angle brush gives the most natural results. give it a try :)

Does it stay?

Just use a waxy eyebrow pencil if you really want it to stay then set with powder. Use light strokes to mimic hair is the trick to not have fake looking brows. I use a mac twist up pencil, I have had it for ages.

The MAC twist up pencil is good and also the Benefit Instant Brow Pencil! Still the same kind of creamy pencil but lasts longer :)

Since you don't need length & just want to fill in areas, use a brow powder.

I swear by the elf eyebrow kit in medium for my eyebrows. I have the same deal as you, just want to fill in some spots. Comes with a wax and setting powder. And it's only three bucks 😃
