Is there a specific process to wash makeup brushes? Or how do you do it?

I mix a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol and dish soap honestly, it's cheap as hell and works for me. Been doing it that way for years.

I work at sephora and we dampen the brush (don't get water in the fennel!) with warm water, put a dab of purity by philosophy on our hand, swirl it around, and run it under water, bristles pointed down till the water is clear, rubbing out the soap. wipe dry with a towel and lay to dry overnight with the handle propped up a tiny bit so again, the fennel doesn't get moisture buildup in it. I recommend washing twice a week or so, depending how often you use them and whether or not you sanitize them between each use.

They say baby shampoo works but I've never tried it

I agree with Vanessa. That is my usual weekly routine (make sure the dish soap is a disinfectant!). I also have a Sephora daily brush cleaning spray that I use, it's super quick, just spray and wipe after your makeup. It keeps them more sanitary until you can do an in depth cleaning.

I use elf brush shampoo. Get the brush a little wet, put some brush shampoo in your palm, swirl it around, rinse it til the water's clear, then lay the brush out to dry.
