So, I've been doing a lot of reading on skincare lately and one item in particular really started to stick out to me and that was rose water. I read of it's antiseptic and cleansing benefits and how it great it is for pores, look, tone and feel of skin and also how great it is for dandruff, which I really struggle with. So, today I collected about 3 cups of pink rose petals from unsprayed, organic rose bushes (I live in Oregon, so roses are very easy to find in the wild) and steeped them, covered, in about 4 cups of boiling water for 3 hours. I strained the liquid and squeezed the extra water out of the petals and made myself a toner (1 half 100% with hazel and 1 half rose water), added about a cup to my shampoo and a cup to my conditioner.
Have any of you ladies used rose water in your beauty routine? If so, how did you like it and how did it work for you? Would any of you guys like me to post a review of sorts after I've used it for a little while?

Do you know where I could get it without making it?

Health food or herb stores sell it. I'm not sure if you could find it at a drug store, but I'm thinking a Whole Foods would have it.

My Syrian family uses Rose Water for everything! I've used it in my hair, in my food, on my face and in my drinks- it has many benefits and uses. Put a spray bottle of it in the fridge and when you shower, use it as a cool rinse and it will add shine as well as dimension to your hair. You can also use the spray mist as a toner- spray it on before you moisturize and prime- after just a few uses, your skin will feel AMAZING and after continued use, it starts to even out skin tone as well! Congrats on finding one of the cheapest and multifunctional beauty products for inner and outer health!

Love it. I have very sensitive skin that is combination to slightly oily I guess. It doesn't leave any weird residue and really leaves skin soft and supple. I get told I have beautiful skin quite a bit. I got mine at Bigelow. It's a drug store in NY from England I believe. Not sure if it exists in any other state.
