Sock Bun Troubles?

My hair is layered, and pretty long. I've tried time and time again to do a sock bun, but I can just never seem to get my ends to stay in it, which messes up the whole thing! Any tips or suggestions? Thank you!

I have many layers in my hair when it starts to act up all I do is damp my hair a bit then put it up. Then with my blow dryer on low, I blow dry it slightly. Hope this helps!

I use to have the same issue. It works better if your hair is damp because then the ends of your layers won't flip out. Also, I use a texturing cream to help hold those fly aways done!

I've been in the marines and I dealt with the same problems. All I have to say is rack up on them bobby pins! It will secure them and hold it in place.

Like everyone else said, dampen your hair a little, and use lots of bobby pins. I have thick hair so I usually use around 20.
