So for the past 3 months I've been using the Macadamia Oil shampoo & conditioner line, the one that comes in big brown tubes and I noticed that my hair thinned out a lot. I thought it was because of the conditioner but I'm still not sure. Recently I switched to Loreal and I've been losing an immense amount of hair. It's ridiculous. I'm only 15 :/ I know I'm supposed to be shedding hair everyday but my story is something else and I'm scared! What should I do & what other products can help me?

Doc

If you didn't color recently, then there isnt any reason for damages...I'd check with the doctor. it could be mild, like alopecia..or just your genetics turning over. when I was 14 my hair completely changed texture. but it was over time. I never lost hair. also check to see what heat your flat or hot tools are. discontinue your conditioner esp if it's clarifying or full of silicone. go with something natural like Giovanni.

You may need a protein treatment...get an egg and a little oil place on your head and cover with a shower cap... Do this ever other wash...also try not to use any heat on your hair for a while...also try cowashing your hair with conditioner also...

No hear styling tools, protein treatments every 6 weeks, deep conditioner every week except when you use the protein treatment, clear products no lantern or L'oreal it's to harsh for some peoples hair like mine. Lots of water and biotin. Also use a lightweight serum for moisture retention on your hair just one pump that's all you need and massage your scalp for 2 mins daily. Also seaters by taking a 30 min walk daily and in a few weeks you will notice a dramatic improvement.

Also you need 3000 to 5000 mg of biotin daily. Helps make hair stronger and thicker. Hope this helps

No heat and only wash your hair 2 times a week.

See a dr first secondly we go through phases of growth, resting, and shedding so you could be in your shedding stage. If not an illness or natural than your causing the damage to make it break. Use sulfate free shampoos (definitely not pantene) and use a hair mask after every wash. Good luck!!

Sorry to say but L'OREAL uses too much chemicals in all its products, same thing for Garnier. Apply coconut oil overnight twice a week for a start. After 3 months of applying coconut oil. Start applying a mixture of castor, almond and coconut oils, very good for glow, enriching the roots, preventing dandruff among others.

Thank you for the advice everyone! A lot of people told me Pantene is really bad for your hair so I don't think I'll use that. I'll go to my doctor. I'm low in iron and I've always been, could that be a problem? I haven't applied oil to my hair in ages and I think I should every weekend or every other weekend. Stress due to school could be another factor. I'll look into everything you guys suggested, thanks!! <3.
