Look up on Pinterest puns, there is this beautiful easy low bun you just make a low pony tale and make a little whole above the pony tale and push the pony tale threw it a few times to make as bun you will get the hang of it! Hope it helps.

Depending on the type of bun your wanting (messy, ect)...I usually make a ponytail (from low to high depending on what I feel like), braid the pony tail, begin wrapping it a securing with pins. Another way I do often is the pony tail, take a piece if hair twist it up and wrap and pin, next twiisted piece wrap the opposite direction...size of piecez just depend on the look your going for.
