When you wash your face, put moisteriser on afterwards because when you wash your face, you are taking away the natural oils so your body wants to reproduce more and more oil so your skin will stay hydraded. when you put moisteriser back on your skin, you are giving back the hydration your skin needs. I hope this helps because does for me :)
