Is eye primer a must? if so what's the best eye primer to use? I've never used it but my shadow never last and it creases fast and never goes on like I see on all these beautiful tutorials I've come across.

No its not. Sometimes I find that eye shadow creme.could work just as well but get a light color as a base.

It's not a must but for many people it helps a lot. As amber said, cream eyeshadows are also great as a primer :)

Eye primer is great to have if your skin gets oily and your shadow crease's it helps prevent creasing.A base is different that will crease a base can be anything over your eyelid.Just apply the eye primer lightly on your eyelid and I also agree with Amber about using a face primer on eyelids if you don't have eye primer.I use Too Faced eye insurance I loveand I've also use UD primer but that was to drying for my eyelids but I will say it had staying power.It's all about your skin and it may not be a must for some but also may be a must for others.

I have very oily skin so I have to use primer. Lately I've been using the maybelline color tattoo. Some of the ladies up here recommended it. They actually keep my shadow in place.

For me it is. I've got super oily skin, and eyeshadow used to melt right off my eyes in hours. UD eye primer has been my favorite. Keeps my shadow true all day.

I've tried elf, nyx, and too faced primer and too faced is hands down the best outta those. If you never tried primer before you will LOVE using it. It will last alll day without creasing or fading.

I believe so if you want your shadow to stay on all day or the colors to pop more. I love using Maybelline color tattoos, Urban Decay and Elf primers.

I've used ELF & Urban Decay primers and they both worked well for me. Elf is super cheap which is a definite plus but do tend to lean more towards UD's primer. My eyeshadow lasts a full 8 hour workday with minimal creasing or fading. Plus I think it makes the colors pop!
