So I've got quiet dark hair and really want it lighter for summer. I don't want to go blonde but does anyone have any suggestions?

Just make sure you don't have due in your hair already because I have dark hair but didn't realise that dye was left in my hair so when I put a lighter colour on it went really bright on my roots, which I tried to correct with hair lightened which turned my hair bright orange, which led me to go to the super store at 10.30pm to get hair dye , though at least now my hair is a light brown though I do have a orange tinge coming through

Instead of dying it, put some lemon juice in it! The sun will naturally highlight it and you'll definitely be able to tell a difference.
