I had a luggage bag from gucci and the leathet peeled but was in perfect condition inside and on the bottom of the bag I cannot use it or red leather goes everywhere! I sent it to get it fixed and they didnt do anything and I have to go and pick it up from the store they can't even post it?!!

I have some Gucci luggage and carry on bags that my Grandma got in Italy in the 60s and the leather peels a bit on those too! The straps and the base crackle and flake, but they're over 50 years old so that's expected. My grandma used to ship them to the store where she bought them in Italy, or possibly the head quarters whenever she needed any repairs and they were more than happy to repair and replace anything she needed. She only mentioned them repairing hardware but never anything about repairing the leather.
