If you haven't used it in 3 months I find it hard that would be the cause..? What about other factors like what you eat or do you salivate in your sleep or?

Whatever you're using to cover it daily is probably not helping , also you could be allergic to something else. Contact a dermatologist because if its been three months it's probably rosacea and you can get it treated.

Ouch, the foundation could of triggered something but it should of cleared up by now! make sure to be using a good cleansing facial regime, and to be changing your pillow cases regularly! But I do too find that after a week of wearing MAC SF foundation that I get a spot or two. Which is strange because my Estee Lauder and Starlooks foundations which are all fairly similar neither of them break me out. Anyway, hope this clears up soon! x
