I would buy either of the naked pallettes and Nyx cosmetics. Not a brand that you can get at any regular drug store. ex. Cvs Rite Aid. Like maybelline unless its a color that maybe your regular drug store doesn't have. Just my opinion:)

I work at ulta! I would suggest the top sellers that are everyday useable and fun!.. The urbandecay naked pallet, a clarasonic, new echo tools brushes, a brow wax from the bennefit brow bar ($20), treehut sugarscrub (the best body exfoliator out there!), bennefit- they're real mascara, pick out some things in the nyx brand (affordable, and a fun brand to play with), check out the sales in hair care (ojon hair restorative mask, organix shampoo&conditioner, paul mitchel smoothing serum, purology volumizing glaze), clinique facial moisturizer ("dramaticaly different"), lorac eyeshadow palattes (the bronze and golds they have would look amazing on your complection!), too faced butter lipstick (my fav!).. Just a few suggestions :)
