I'm sure you'll get tons of responses with dolls swearing by on brand or the other, what I've seen is that any waterproof mascara will weigh my lashes down, so I stay clear of them. Application is important, apply a coat and let it dry some before you apply another. It will create more volume.
my fav makeup artist Wayne Goss says that the formulas in mascara do not matter, what sets them apart is the wand. He says to look for something slim to really provide complete coverage of each lash. And finally to separate them. Makes sense when you think about it

I like mascara when it's a little dried out I find that it applies better than newer mascara which tends to be more sticky.

I LOVE the "they're real" by Bennefit. Its amazing. Dosn't clump, smear, smudge, ir flake off. It grabs every little lash an pulls it out to its longest and makes you look like you have fake lashes on lol. I've even slept in it and reapplied it. No problems. Its sold at Ulta and runs about 23$, deff worth it :)
