I have very fine hair, lately I've noticed that my scalp is very dry. It will flake around my forehead hairline, almost like a sunburn flake. I have tried so many different lotions. Currently I am using cocoa butter, it helps for the dryness on my face, but not around my hairline. I've tried beeswax, it helps to moisturize the area, but really just makes it easier for me to 'pick off' my skin. Going crazy, every time I brush my hair I get flakes of skin only in my bangs so I have to keep pinning them back to hide the dry skin. Any suggestions??

Olive oil works. Rub into scalp before washing and place a hot damp towel for about 15 mins.

Bosley makes a microdermabrasion scalp treatment. It's exfoliating and nourishing for your scalp and in turn your hair.

See a dermatologist and I have the same issue and I use head and shoulders clinical strength. It has stopped all itching.

T gel might be a little harsh, you should look into paul Mitchell tea tree line ( but try not to use it every day) it can tend to dry out your scalp more with too much tea tree. I use the hair and body moisturizer that seems to help with the flakes. But look into their shampoos and really make sure you stimulate your scalp in the shower. Use your nails and the tips of your fingers to massage the cuticle and help remove build up. Follow with a good cleansing conditioner. Or even look into Nioxin. It's not all for "thinning" or "bald" scalps. It really helps the skin and your hair follicles this might help thicken it up for you as well.

Stubborn flakes are really irritating. For my case, it was not itchy but yes they keep falling off. Commercial anti-dandruff shampoos do not work out for me so I tried to visit a dermatologist. Before I use a tar shampoo (the smell is just a little off) but now I'm using Sebamed - both work well for me but I think the tar one is better. You can maybe go see a dermatologist too to assess your scalp.
