Make sure that even if its not that hot out you wear sunscreen, this will pretect your skin even more.
I once went surfing and the back of my legs were facing the sun and we didn't put any sunscreen on-and I had to sleep on my stomach!
I know how you feel. Just make sure you put on more sun screen more frequently.
