My hair is quite healthy, I noticed that when my hair was a bit lighter it was very shiny. Now that I have dyed it jet black, it doesn't seem to be as shiny. Any tips on what I can use to bring back the shine, or is that just what happens with dyed black hair?

Do you have a Sally's beauty supply in your area? They carry a clear shine glaze (it is like a semi-permanent dye) that works wonders on dark hair! It is super easy to apply as well as cheap :)

Yah black hair dye can't compare to true black hair unfortunately that's just the reality of black dye - you can't bottle up true black hair color :T.

Biosilk or garnier has something similar. After you wash put it in damp hair and blowdry.

Megan- I live in England so I don't, unfortunately :(
I've tried blue black before and it doesn't look too good with my skin tone (Paler than MAC NC15)

I second apple cider vinegar. Gets out the gunk that's probably dulling the color without stripping your hair, and it leaves it very shiny. Use it as a hair mask for a few minutes before your regular shampoo and conditioner. Ba-BAM!
