You can use it to spray on your brushes before applying eyeshadow to intensify the color, you can use it to moisturize your face before foundation, you can use it to refresh your foundation/over all makeup through out the day. It's very useful, I highly recommend.

I had read that you can make a DIY setting spray through the mixture of distilled water and glycerin. I have not tried the mixture just yet but it might be a cheaper alternative.

YES! but do not buy it with the intentions of using it as a setting spray, as it does not do that at all! also I find with some of my foundations it separates them but that's only with a few. It is worth it so, it can get rid of cakey/powdery foundation. x
