What are your favorite methods of fading your unnatural colors and vegetable based dyes? I've heard of all the vitamin c rinses, dawn dish soap rinses, dandruff shampoo solutions, etc, but I would love to hear *how* you have done them in the past and how they have worked for you. Please and thank you ladies!

I have pastel blue hair which I am trying to fade over time to switch back to my old lavender or silver hair or a new powder pink color. I personally have pretty decent success with clarifying shampoos to fade my color, but never quite get the last bits of color out entirely. What do you ladies do to get out the last bits of unnatural colors in your hair in the least damaging way? Its not a big enough deal for me to bleach or use a color remover (which I've found unsuccessful on vegetable dyes), so if you have any treatments or remedies that are less damaging, I'd love to hear about them! I can make a lot of headway with my faded pastel blue and clarifying shampoo but there are always those stubborn remnants I am trying to combat over the next week or two..

I have had that problem. Blue seems to just stain my hair. I just dyed over the top of my hair a pink and it looked like I tried to make it look purple. Lol.

Head and Shoulders. That takes EVERYTHING out. Worked like a charm when I had neon blue hair(: hope it works!

Thanks for the replies, Sam and Regan! I'm definitely going to pick up some Head and Shoulders and give that a go =)

I agree with Regan, in my experience the quickest thing with fading unnatural hair colors was Head and Shoulders.  :)
