How To Curl Eyelashes Amazingly?

When I curl my eyelashes they don't look naturally curled they curl at the root nice then they just literally go straight up, also, when I put mascara on them they all look different lengths, but I don't think they are naturally, on and does anyone have any tips or an idea of why my mascara starts to flake in little pieces at the top of my lashes? It just looks so in natural and not luscious lashes at all :(

Buy an eyelash cutler but dot press to hard! It will curl your eye lashes and apply your mascara like a zig zag.
