It might be what Rebecca said- too much orange/red undertones. I would recommend trying out Benefit's Hoola, and applying that with a fluffy, angled brush (I use one by smashbox). I also heard that Nyc has a great matte bronzer that's a fraction of the cost of the Hoola one.

Oh and it might help it you tap off the brush before applying product on your face! I used to have the same problem as you, and tapping off excess product helped sooo much!

I think it might be an orange tone. It doesn't say because it's meant to be this amazing thing advertised to do 6 things. Like foundation, contouring, blush, eyeshadow...etc.
