Depending on the chemical straightener your getting your hair may be too weak to color it which is something you do not want to do if you are growing it out.

O you know What hair cut would look good though?

Getting a relaxer is very damaging and it would be even more damaged if you get it colored too. Working at a salon all of my coworkers refused to do any clients that had their hair chemically relaxed or permed that also wanted color done. So more than likely they will make you choose between one or the other.

My boyfriend's mom used relaxer and she hates how her hair isn't as curly. Just thought I'd let you know.

Faith , I decided I'm going to leave my color. I straighten my hair almost every day. I do use heat protectant. But I figured it would be less damaging to just get it done instead of blow drying and straightening every day.

I don't think you should try straightening it or relaxing it! Your hair is gorgeous and you have naturally curly hair, don't damage it by straightening it or curling it. Trust me, be proud of your gorgeous curls! Not everyone has straight hair, your hair was meant to be curly and will probably look odd and frizzy while straight. Embrace the curl and your hair will grow healthy and long! :)
