That's true:) it really helps, and you can use olive oil twice a week for two hours , and coconut oil also helps, and stay away from heat!!

I was my hair on a friday, it looks great all weekend, then for work it gets tied up in a bobble, I only wash my hair again if I'm going out somewhere nice and I want to wear my hair down. It never gets greasy. I used to wash my hair two or 3 times a week and it would get greasy within 3 or 4 days, now I can go about 8 days before anyone can tell it isnt washed. It isnt mucky, it doesn't smell or anything. It stays soft. It has grown about 2 inches since christmas, which is a lot for me. All I use is nice shampoo and argan oil, occasionally I make a home made hair mask with coconut oil.

I have oily hair and for me I wash my hair every 3 or so says. It lets the natural oils grow and styles better the 2nd and 3rd days, plus there's always dry shampoo :)

I've always washed my hair every day, because my hair is very oily. But my hair grows faster and looks much fuller now that I've completely stopped using heat. I don't even blow dry it anymore. I've also started using a comb to brush my hair when it's wet, because your hair is very brittle when it's wet. Much less hair comes out when I use a comb, and my hair is noticeably fuller!

Depends on your hair. I'm black, so if I washed my hair every day I would kill it, so it gets washed once a week to once every two weeks while not in braids. The thing about washing your hair, no matter what ethnicity, is that using shampoo will strip your hair of nutrients. That's just kinda what it does. So I hear cowashing, washing with conditioner, can help.

It does help. its bad for your hair to wash it daily. and your hait actually gets used to not being washed and the natural oils don't release as bad. mine used to get super oily after day one, but now I can skip washing for two or three days without issue.

Yes! I wash it once a week w/ shampoo and twice w/ conditioner and I LOVE how much thicker and volume my hair has. anf hair gets oily if you do wash it often or daily. my hair used to get oily on second day hair but now I can go five/six days without it being oily. it might take a month or so to train your hair cuz I've been doing this for months.

I wash mine every 3 days or so but after I sleep on it my hair is an utter mess so I wack it up into a sock bun most days. how can I get round this? it goes kinda wiry I guess after sleeping but washing it makes it nice again.

I would put it on a high ponytail at night. I know for my curly hair it helps, but if your hair is straight then I'm not sure - I just know that I don't get that ugly ponytail dent when I take my hair out of the ponytail.

It doesn't matter if you have oily hair. Just use a dry shampoo for oily hair on the days you don't wash it.
