I did use a toothpick, but it's a bit too pointy, I think... I'll try a bobby pin next time :)

The tip of an old bic pen works well too. I use to just break the tip off the toothpick until I got dotting tools. A stick pin in the end of a pencil eraser works as well as cutting end off a paper stem q tip. Here's the design I'm currently sporting! Good job and keep at it! Practice makes perfect and even then the darn left hand dilemma. Lol.

My nails right now! I have a dotting tool that I use to create this look but when I didn't, I always used a Bobby pen just as Jenna mentioned! :)
