80 percent of sun damage which is visible in your later years occurs before the age of 20? And research says 90 percent of premature aging and wrinkles are from the sun?
I wanted to share this with you all because it is SO important to protect your skin when you are young. say no to excessive tanning and abolutely say no to tanning beds! You won't regret it when you are older :)

I actually did know this! :) I'm really big on sun safetey after finding spots which I have to have biopsied to make sure they arent cancerous even though I have never tanned a day in my life!

@andrea p. it's never ok to tan because it will always cause sun damage to your skin. wear sunscreen everyday and if you want to be tan just use a fake tan there are a ton of good ones out there.

Thank you for the post! I'm in the same boat as Cassidy, I rarely tan (although my career does require me to be outdoors a lot) and I've had to have seven pre-cancerous spots removed, two of them when I was only 10. Even if you don't bake yourself, a family history of skin cancer can be just as bad. Couldn't give two hoots about wrinkles, though. :-P Wrinkles happen. Aging is natural as long as you don't speed the process up with excessive tanning.

@gabby m. as long as you reapply at some point like if your outside all day then you should reapply but if your for example only out for an hour you should be fine.
